Advanced search allows you to search Teamcenter from within NX using any pre-defined Teamcenter query. There are several queries provided by default and you can configure any Teamcenter query so it is available.
Advanced search is also provided with other commands and dialog boxes that require selection of a file, such as File→Open.
Note:
This functionality is available with Teamcenter 2007.1 MP2.
The OR method is used when items are searched. For example, items with the matching Name OR Date Criteria are identified, if both are entered in the search.
To enable the functionality for advanced search to work, the standard NX advanced search queries must be available in Teamcenter. These queries are named *_NX_xxxx and are delivered with the Teamcenter software. These queries are standard queries that cannot be modified or controlled.
In addition, you can add the results of saved queries as additional query types by adding the name of the query to the following Teamcenter preference:
TC_NX_SavedQueries
These additional queries are then listed in the Look For list in the Advanced Search dialog box.
Note:
You cannot add the standard queries provided, named *_NX_xxxx, to the custom query preference TC_NX_SavedQueries.
