The following Teamcenter terms are used throughout the description of NX Manager mode.
Note:
Class and function names must not be greater than 32 characters long since Teamcenter does not allow for creation of Item names greater than 32 characters.

Item |
Items are the fundamental objects used to manage information in Teamcenter. Typical use of items are Parts and documents. The NX Part is stored as an item in Teamcenter. |

Item Revisions are used to reflect modifications to items. |
Dataset |
Datasets are used to manage data files created by other software applications. It contains text files, Part files, and images. The DFA file is stored as a text file. |
Relations |
Relations describe how two objects are related to each other. |
Relation Type |
This describes the type of relation between two objects. |
ItemREV Master Form |
This is to store customer defined attributes. |
Named Reference |
In Teamcenter, datasets often manage several different operating system file types. These file types are called named reference of that dataset. These named Referenes are text files, images, and part files. |
