Overview |
Knowledge Fusion is supported in the NX Manager data management tool application. When NX is used in the NX Manager mode, the Teamcenter application runs at the same time as a separate process. Since Teamcenter and NX Manager communicate, you can create, store, and access your data within the Teamcenter database. For further information on these two applications, see the NX Manager Online Help and Teamcenter Online Help.
Note:
Teamcenter always overrides the native mode operations. For example, Up/Down scrollable arrows may only work in one direction.
Knowledge Fusion has the ability to store/retrieve its source files, the DFA files, in the Teamcenter database, and maintain a close relationship with related NX part files.
In native NX, both the system and user-defined classes (defined in DFA files) are stored in the operating system (OS). In the NX Manager mode, system class files will continue to be stored in the OS, but user-defined classes are placed into an Teamcenter database. Part files are also stored in the Teamcenter database.
You can store DFA files corresponding to DLG files in Teamcenter.
