Options |
Part Settings |
|
The following options are in the Color Settings section. |
|
Sets the color of selectable objects for the current operation. |
|
Sets the color of selected objects, the grid, view names and borders, and temporary points and conehead vectors. |
|
Hidden Geometry |
Sets the color of hidden geometry, geometry that remains visible even though it is nominally hidden by shaded geometry, including coordinate systems, coneheads, and hidden edges of shaded faces. NX saves the Hidden Geometry setting in the part file. When you create a new part, the system initializes the setting according to a customer default. |
The following options are in the De-emphasis Settings section. |
|
De-emphasis Settings |
Controls the color applied to objects that are de-emphasized by work-plane dim, assembly emphasis, and similar functions. The applied color is a mixture of the object's original color and the Blend Color, where the mixture is controlled by the Blend Percentage. Applied color = (blend percentage X blend color) + ((100% - blend percentage) X object color)) Note: The appearance of the de-emphasized (dimmed) objects is controlled by De-emphasis Settings (Preferences→Visualization→Color Settings). |
Blend Color |
Applies to all parts in the session. NX does not save the setting, but for each session initializes the setting according to a customer default. |
Blend Percentage |
Determines the color applied to de-emphasized objects. The applied color is a mixture of the object's original color and a specified Blend Color . |
The following options are in the Random Color Settings section. |
|
Provides a temporary display of unique colors per solid object. You can apply random colors to one of the following:
This feature can help you to determine if there is surface breakup of a model. It allows you to see flaws from surface to surface and helps you to see if faces are crossing in your model. |

Drawing Part Settings |
|
You can use these settings when you want to have your drawings displayed in monochrome, while your modeling views continue to display in full color. The grid, all handles, WCS, and Work Plane Emphasis display in their normal color. For more information, see the Drafting Help. NX saves Monochrome Display settings in the part file. When you create a new part, NX initializes the settings according to customer defaults. |
|
Monochrome Display |
Turns on the Monochrome Display options. Monochrome display also applies to Expanded drawing views. |
Preselection |
Sets the color of preselected objects. |
Selection |
Displays all selected/highlighted objects, temporary display objects (such as coneheads, temporary text), and drawing borders in this color. |
Foreground |
Sets monochrome color for all displayable objects, view borders, and view names. |
Background |
Sets the monochrome background color. |
Show Widths |
Specifies that the object width attribute determines the displayed width of lines or curves used to represent an object (if the Show Widths check box is selected). NX uses this setting if and only if a drawing is displayed with Monochrome Display enabled. Otherwise, NX uses the Show Widths setting on the Line page of the Visualization Preferences dialog bo. |
